Alan S. Epstein, President of Epstein Engineering, P.C. holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the Stony Brook University, a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from NYU/Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York and a Law Degree which he received cum laude from The St. John's University School of Law. He has served as a member of the City's Building Industry Advisory Council and as a special consultant to the New York City Department of Buildings on matters related to the drafting of New York�s fa�ade inspection law, Local Law 11/98. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Engineer a, LEED AP and an Attorney, Mr. Epstein frequently lectures on subjects related to Local Law 11. He is one of a very select group of professionals who has actively practiced in the field of fa�ade restoration and Local Law 10/11 compliance since New York�s first fa�ade inspection law was enacted over 30 years ago. Mr. Epstein has more than thirty years of experience designing and managing multi-million dollar construction projects from inception through completion. He has participated in the resolution of numerous construction claims and disputes. He has been a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, the Professional Engineers in Construction, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the Association of Building Owners (ABO), the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic District, the Municipal Arts Society, the Carnegie Hill Neighborhood Association, the National Trust for Historic Preservation the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and was also a member of the Board of Directors of the 400-unit Condominium in which he resides. Alan S. Epstein has lectured extensively and conducted numerous seminars on Local Laws 10/11 and Exterior Fa�ade Restoration. He has also written many articles which have been published in various newspapers and trade journals and has been the subject of a special profiles in the Real Estate Weekly and other publications.
